For over two decades, Adam K. Troy has been a catalyst for fostering community and economic empowerment. At the intersection of a passion and mission to maximize human potential, and through the focus and work of the Troy family and the faith-based community – TROY Enterprises was founded.


TROY Enterprises operates in what they term, ‘the art of access.’ That is providing affordable access to goods and services – things like food and healthcare – as well as housing.


Troy saw very few professionals of color working effectively in these areas as a collective when he began his mission. In his work leading the enterprise, Troy looked to industry examples for guidance and mentorship. It was people like Victor MacFarlane, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Don Peebles, and Quentin Primo – Black businessmen in the development space – who gave Troy a spark. All with their unique focuses, these models were building different rooms onto what Troy envisioned and now calls the “social-impact entrepreneurial house.”


As the son of a preacher, Reverend Leon Troy Sr., the example of community impact and service was always a present one. The faith-based community also became the foundation for TROY Enterprises’ long list of relationships.


Neighborhood revitalization is not just something Troy preaches; he practices it. Those around him describe his willingness to be in communities, doing the work at the street level and carrying that into the boardroom. As TROY Enterprises expands, the emphasis on having a representative on the ground, interacting with neighbors and people in the areas remains. This is core to the success of Troy Enterprises.


As a connector in local and regional communities, Troy understands that somehow, in some way we are all inextricably tied. Impacts in one community have a ripple to another, that community sends the ripple to another, and so on. TROY Enterprises aims to start that wave by drawing in community leaders and collectively identifying potential developments and projects that can help create healthy and sustainable revitalization.
